Prof. Dr. H. Baki Yılmaz

Having completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Bandırma, Baki Yılmaz earned his medical degree at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) residency at Istanbul Taksim Training and Research Hospital.

Beginning his medical career in 1994 at Health Clinic No. 5 in central Antalya, Baki Yılmaz served at Taksim Training and Research Hospital from 1998 to 2002, advancing from resident to ENT Specialist. In 2004, he was appointed ENT Specialist at Kütahya Gediz State Hospital, and the following year returned to Istanbul upon his appointment to Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital.

After serving there until 2007, he continued his practice for 5 years at Tuzla State Hospital. In 2012, after passing the post-specialty written and oral examinations conducted by the Ministry of Health, Baki Yılmaz was appointed Chief Assistant and served as Clinical Educator & Chief Assistant at Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital.

In 2015, Baki Yılmaz applied to the Interuniversity Board with his portfolio of scientific publications and professional works. Following approval of his dossier, he passed the Associate Professorship examination at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine on April 1, 2016, earning the title of Associate Professor in Otorhinolaryngology, and subsequently achieved the title of Full Professor (Prof. Dr. Baki Yılmaz).

In addition to his career in Turkey, Baki Yılmaz pursued advanced training abroad. In 2004, he served as an observer physician in rhinology and sinus surgery alongside Prof. Andrew N. Goldberg at UCSF (University of California, San Francisco), and attended hands-on surgical courses on advanced endoscopic sinus surgery, Balloon Sinuplasty, and snoring surgery organized by Dr. Michael Friedman and Dr. T.K. Venkatesan in Chicago.

At UIC (University of Illinois at Chicago), Baki Yılmaz served as an observer physician in rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery alongside Prof. Dr. Dean Toriumi and Prof. Dr. J. Regan Thomas. To further expand his expertise in ear surgery, he also visited renowned neurotology-otology specialist Prof. Steven A. Telian and the University of Michigan Department of Otolaryngology.
